Why Malaysian and foreign companies incorporate in Singapore
A Singapore company can act as the hub or regional headquarters of a group. Contracts, banking, regional management and holding of shares or assets can sit in one entity that counterparties across Asia already recognise.
Singapore also publishes clear ownership and filing rules and has stable, predictable governance. For a company that wants to be taken seriously by banks, investors and larger customers, that reputation carries over to you.
The structure you pick on day one is hard to change cheaply later. Who owns the shares, who sits on the board and whether a holding company sits above the operating company all affect tax, financing and succession. We go through these before anything is filed.

Questions about company incorporation
Can a foreigner own 100% of a Singapore company?
Yes. A foreigner can be the sole shareholder. The company still needs at least one director who is ordinarily resident in Singapore, and we can discuss how owners usually meet that requirement.
Do I need to be in Singapore to incorporate?
No. Incorporation can be completed remotely. See our virtual company incorporation page for how that works from Malaysia.
Do you also incorporate companies in Malaysia?
No. We advise Malaysian owners on structuring their Singapore entity, and we do not provide Malaysian (SSM) incorporation.
